Bioware's last two games were astonishingly mediocre (DA:I) and a complete garbage fire (ME:A), so I have less than no confidence in Anthem. Then again, Bioware have been dead to me since ME3, and functionally dead in real life since the last of the Doctors and Casey Hudson left over the last few years. What's left is a corpse with the Bioware name and EA's hand up its jacksie.
A pretty lackluster E3 overall so far. Bethesda's conference was a complete and utter joke outside of Wolfenstein 2, which admittedly I am looking forward to; otherwise it was 'here's some games that did well, BUY THEM AGAIN FOR VR!' Plus some DLC you knew was happening (Dishonored) and a sequel nobody asked for (The Evill Within 2).
Ubisoft I couldn't give a twentieth of a microdamn about. I'm gonna grab Redneck Cry and South Park on a steam sale when there's complete collections, and I stopped caring about AC after Pirate's Creed. And I refuse to believe in the existence of BGE2 until its out, they've been stringing us along with it for how long now? And do we really believe that they won't turn it into yet another Ubi By Numbers platter of blandness?
Microsoft's conference was all about Scorpio, and I literally cannot remember anything else from it.
Sony's was decent, mostly because of SotC remake, and more importantly, MONSTER HUNTER WORLD. Which is coming to PC. I'm looking forward to seeing more of that, because I noticed a distinct lack of cats in the trailer, which is unacceptable in Monster Hunter, and there's far too many rumours about the combat getting dumbed down for 'western audiences'. The total lack of TLoU2 was shocking, to say the least.
Jesus H Christ, reading this back I'm really jaded, aren't I?
