2015 has been an excellent year for games and 2016 looks like it will not disappoint as well. I'm still intrigued by Media Molecule's new title Dreams, but no idea how they're going to market that to the masses. Probably not well!
I always find the response to these pressers quite interesting:
- Urgh. More David Cage like FMV games.
- Not another FPS!
- No Man's Sky looks boring.
- VR is a waste of time.
- Sony has too many on rails action adventure games.
- Driveclub's bikes should be included in the season pass.
Today's gamers are very hard to please. I'd love it if the criticism came with a detailed description on what kind of game they DO want. The current combination of AAA titles and surprising indies across all platforms are nailing it in my opinion.
Damn, when I was younger I was just happy to get a boot disk sorted and my expanded memory correct to run an expansion that took me weeks of stacking shelves at Toy's R Us to save up for!
