Very first video game
Something on the C64, don't remember.
Your favourite character
Tough question. Off the top of my head, toss up between Garrus Vakarian and Kanji Tatsumi.
A game that is underrated
MadWorld. Not enough people played this gloriously insane, ultra-stylized gore splattered spectacle. Also Mark of the Ninja, because an indie 2D stealth platformer has no business being one of the absolute best stealth games I've ever played, and yet it is.
Your guilty pleasure game
WWE 2Kx. I love me some pro wrestling.
Game character you feel you are most like (or wish you were).
Can I wish I was Geralt? Because that man is awesome.
Most annoying character.
Navi. Anyone who says something other than this, or Fi (Skyward Sword) either didn't play OoT or SS, or is wrong.
Favourite game couple.
Geralt and Yennefer, Chie and Yosuke (they argued like a married couple, so they count dammit)
Oh Raptor Jesus have mercy, don't make me choose. Persona 3 & 4, Payday 2, Bastion, new Killer Instinct (Seasons 1 & 2) are all awesome.
Saddest game scene.
I'd say its a toss-up between the rooftop in Persona 3, or saying your goodbyes to Team Awesome in Mass Effect 3; but thinking about ME3 always leads to rage, so Persona 3 it is. Honourable mention to This War of Mine, but it doesn't have "scenes", its just an endless assault of misery.
In terms of purity of execution, gotta go with the original Doom. I will say that this question is so vague and nebulous as to be almost meaningless.
Gaming system of choice.
A game everyone should play.
Crusader Kings 2, because there is nothing else even remotely like this game, and its so uniquely satisfying to play. Plus, it got me reading even more history.
Mark of the Ninja as well, because its dirt cheap in any Steam sale, is absolutely goddamn gorgeous, and is one of the best stealth experiences you can have.
A game you’ve played more than five times.
The original Doom and Doom 2, Borderlands 2, Dark Souls, Civ V
Current (or most recent) gaming wallpaper.
Post a screenshot from the game you’re playing right now.
Game with the best cut scenes.
Mass Effect 2. Still holds up.
SHODAN for sheer menace. Bob Page for banality of evil and sheer satisfaction in thwarting him. Handsome Jack for being a hillarious dick.
Commander Damien Shepard, because he was mine. Geralt because he's like a perfect blend of hardboiled detective and monster slaying womanising, cynical badass.
Picture of a game setting you wish you lived in.
Can't be bothered posting a photo, but everyone here knows what the Citadel looks like. Just preferably without the cyborg Space Cthulhu.
Brawlers (Bayonetta, DMC etc), fighting games, ARPG.
Game with the best story.
Mass Effect saga, up until the end of the Tuchanka arc in ME3. Persona 3, Telltale's The Walking Dead Season 1 (and only 1).
A game sequel which disappointed you.
Mass Effect 3. Nothing else comes within a parsec in terms of breaking my heart; not Skyrim, not Street Fighter V, not Borderlands TPS, not Fallout 3, not even Deus Ex: Invisible War or new Thief.
Game which you think had the best graphics or art style.
Okami is an absolute triumph of art direction. Same can be said for almost anything Klei have ever made, though Mark of the Ninja is probably my fave.
Favourite classic game.
Street Fighter Alpha 3, Jedi Outcast, Starcraft
A game you plan on playing.
X-Com 2, both with and without Long War. Gotta finish Witcher 3 first.
Also Persona 5
Best voice acting.
The Witcher 3, Borderlands 2
Most epic scene ever.
Legitimate tie for me.
The Suicide Mission in ME2 - Everything comes down to this, and thanks in no small part to the amazing soundtrack for this moment, it feels absolutely amazing as Commander Awesome and his dirty dozen do the impossible. Not even the tacked on boss fight can sour this amazing climax.
January 31st (The Fall) in Persona 3 - Fighting the anthropomorphic personification of our collective fear of death, atop a tower that has been pulled from a suppurating hole in the collective unconsciousness of humanity, at an hour that doesn't exist. Again, it feels very climactic, as the entire game has literally been working up to this moment. And The Battle for Everyone's Souls is my favourite Final Boss Theme EVER.
Favourite game developer.
CD Projekt RED and Blizzard are both amazingly consistent. Klei have yet to dissapoint either.
A game you thought you wouldn’t like, but ended up loving.
Borderlands 2. I wanted to like Borderlands but ended up absolutely HATING it. I tried BL2 at a LAN cafe, and fell in love with it.
Your favourite game of all time.
You can ask me four times in a week and I'll give four different answers depending on my mood, but the perrenial favourites are Thief: The Dark Project, Mass Effect 2, Crusader Kings 2, Dark Souls.
